UAE’s Etisalat & PTCL’s Privatization Deal in 2006 was the biggest financial SCAM in Pakistan’s history. The issues are still live between the parties. Either Etisalat or PTCL could not so far settled the issues involved in the PTCL’s Privatization and the ‘biggest financial scam in Pakistan’s History’ that followed.

The latest position, as reported by Daily Khaleej Times of 29th February 2012 is that the two countries have resolved a method to settle the long pending dispute, especially with regard to the remaining payments. UAE and Pakistan will soon find a solution within weeks to a stand off on final payment of a $2.6 billion telecom deal which enabled Emirates Tele-Communication Corporation ETISALAT to acquire a 26 percent stake in Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL).

“The deal was full of flaws and was against the opinion of the advisors. They had asked the Government to scrap it. ETISALAT claimed that they were just accepting an invitation from the Government of Pakistan to join them in their move towards privatization of PTCL. Mr. Waqar Ahmed Khan, the Federal Minister of the new Government for Privatization revealed before the Pakistan National Assembly that the privatization deal of PTCL with UAE’s Etisalat was not at all transparent and was in gross violation of rules and procedures”.

The information about this scandalous deal between ETISALAT and Pakistan – PTCL’s Privatization – had emerged to be “The Biggest Financial Scam in Pakistan’s History”.
The History Repeats in India in 2011 – The ETISALAT – SWAN Telecom War

The history repeats in India in 2011 – The ETISALAT-SWAN Telecom war. The revelations of the recent 2G Spectrum case in India foiled another attempt of ETISALAT to make illegal gains in India in partnership with Swan Telecom. This has further tarnished the image of ETISALAT, although its chairman keeps saying that “ETISALAT applies the highest standards of transparency in conducting its business operations”.

The greed of the devil for making money by corrupting individuals, corporations or even a country is a never ending process; and its activities are spreading over the entire universe.

General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the UAE’s Minister of Interior since October 2004. He was the Deputy Director of the Capital Police in 1994–1995 before becoming the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Police on October 23, 1995. Sheikh Saif was blamed for the vast majority of human rights violations committed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Prior to his ministerial appointment he has occupied several leadership positions in Abu Dhabi Emirate. It’s probably the reason Sheikh Saif’s instinctive criminal behavior, that is chiefly satisfied by the UAE tyrants. He is the full brother of Sheikh Issa, who poured lighter fluid over a man’s genitals, which he then sets alight, the man who ran over him with a Mercedes SUV etc (View Video) explicitly illustrated through the sociopathic mentality of some of these royal families who get off on torturing ‘slaves’ and other unfortunates.

People with good conscience – who hate barbaric behavior inflicted by UAE government on expatriate population living there, have chosen to boycott the prevailing UAE government through this website. Their ethical decision to boycott the UAE government is rooted in sympathy for the innocent victims who were tortured impassively by the current government of the country.

The patrons against human rights violation have come together to form a commune which was named boycottuae.com

There are four separate reasons to form this commune:

To stage virtual boycott against UAE government, businesses, vacation and its tourism projects for failing in its duties to ensure protection and shelter to expatriates who are working in the country.

Enforcing the UAE government to deliver legal justice to innocent victims who were falsely implicated in cases and made to languish in jails for indefinite period of time.

To develop implementation plan for freeing innocent civilians, Human Rights activists from jails in UAE, and to convey the clear message to UAE government by organizing a mass boycott campaign using the power of internet.

To ensure that implementation plan is put into action.

While putting up the site we have performed extensive research to present the facts in purest sense. All our research and findings have been incorporated in the website and where ever possible we have tried to include our references for the source of our information.

You can contribute some literature with references about any such human rights violations issues that come to your notice. We thank all those people and organizations who have helped us with news and research.
Our campaign has already met with some success and we were able to impart a severe pressure on UAE government for performing its duties.

This website was hacked for some days by either nervous government (UAE) agencies or people support the government atrocities (Press Release). But in both ways it has now become clear that public opinion is always important and no government can survive by ignoring the demands of its citizens.

Our research is on-going and we expect all like minded people to help us with their valuable excerpts to raise voice against the atrocities of UAE government.

Read more at: ‘Enforcement of Legal Judgment in the UAE’ (Press Release)

ADIA had invested large fund with Mr Madoff, by way of the Fairfield Sentry Fund. According to a media report, Fairfield Sentry Fund had more than $7 billion invested with Mr Madoff and was Madoff’s largest investor.

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) holding the world’s biggest sovereign wealth fund with assets estimated at up to $875 billion. (The precise size is still unknown)

Several business crimes and Human Rights violations were recorded against ADIA and Al Nahyan Regime. The embezzlement of public funds and fraud started in the early years of BCCI. A system was built on corruption, greed and bribery. The chapter on BCCI’s early history describes in detail the early history of Abu Dhabi and BCCI. The BCCI banking scandal is well known

Human Rights Watch believe the detention of Ahmed Mansoor is aimed at scaring and intimidating others in the UAE who may wish to make public their demands for democratic reforms. While other governments in the region are discussing democratic reforms, the UAE government is digging in its heels and sticking to outmoded repressive ploys.

Before his detention, Mansoor told Human Rights Watch that since the beginning of April, he had received six death threats and has been subject to an online smear campaign on social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter.

“Does the UAE government’s plan for progress include prosecuting and jailing citizens who seek democracy and freedom?” “No gilded towers, no world-class museums or universities, can mask the fact that UAE authorities refuse to grant basic rights to citizens.” said Sarah Leah Whitson, Director at Human Rights Watch, Middle East and North Africa.

UAE: Human rights defender Mr Hasan Mohammed Hasan Al Hammadi detained
07 Feb, 2011, United Arab Emirates

On Friday evening the 4th of Feb 2011, the UAE State Security has arrested UAE human rights defender Hasan Mohammed Hasan Al Hammadi from his house in the city of Khor Fakkhan. Front Line has received information suggesting that the reason for his arrest is because he publicly showed his support and solidarity with the Egyptian demonstrators in Tahrir Square.

Further Information
Mr Hassan Mohammed is a prominent educationalist and during his 25 years of service at the Ministry of Education he was awarded several excellency prizes and certificates. He is an active board member of the Teachers Association in UAE (NGO).

He was held by the state security apparatus at Khor Fakkhan State Security after his arrest. No lawyer or family member was allowed to meet him. On the 6th of February 2010, he was transferred to Abu Dhabi to the headquarters of the State Security, about 280 Km from Khor Fakkhan.

Front Line is extremely concerned for the physical and psychological integrity of human rights defender Hasan Mohammed Hasan Al Hammadi as he is not allowed to have access to a lawyer or to contact his family.

There is a risk that Hasan Mohammed Hasan Al Hammadi may be at risk of torture or ill-treatment.

Front Line is calling on the authorities in the UAE to protect and respect the right to freedom of expression and to release Mr. Al Hammadi immediately.
